Nestled in 48 acres of private grounds with landscaped gardens and amazing views, Edenhouse is a gracious and luxurious private home. Built in 2003 for Peter and Bobbie Martin, they deliberately accept a maximum of six guests ensuring a totally pampered country houseguest experience. Peter and Bobbie take personal care of every guest with assistance from staff who all live permanently in the local valley.


Edenhouse is finished and furnished to a very high standard with an emphasis on comfort, understated luxury and attention to detail. The rooms are spacious with outstanding views and large private bathrooms. As well as enjoying the sitting room, formal dining room, artists' studio, den and library, the large gardens, provide additional places to eat, drink and relax. Dinner is hosted and includes local fresh produce of the highest quality, accompanied by award winning wines from nearby vineyards.


Edenhouse is in the perfect location, between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, at the top of the South Island. The Park, one of New Zealand's most spectacular natural wonders, offers golden beaches, aquamarine waters, boating, kayaking and idyllic bush walks. In addition, boutique wineries, cafes, trout fishing, golf courses, and a vibrant art and craft community are all close by.


Edenhouse is the only New Zealand property recently featured in the prestigious UK House & Garden supplement "Hotels by Design", showcasing "the most stylish hotels in the world".
